Celebrating 25 years of Somerset's Fire & Ice festival, we created our Mint Chocolate Coffee Stout! The coffee is blended with our oatmeal stout base which is brewed using flaked oats to provide a thick, creamy mouthfeel and a slight oatmeal cookie taste. It combines notes of chocolate, caramel and burnt sugar with flavors of mint for an "icy" freshness and hints of roasted coffee for a "fiery" warmth making this is the perfect dark beer to pay homage to the festival.
Our Honey Lager presents a unique twist to the traditional lager. During flameout, we add a generous amount of honey made from the blossom of the buckwheat plant, to provide a slightly sweet finish. This brew is our best seller!
This Imperial Rye Stout was brewed using 9 different malts including flaked rye and rye malt to give it a thick mouthfeel and a spicy complexity. With a color that is black as night and an elaborate grain bill this beer is not for the faint of heart. If you like your friends this is the perfect bottle to share with it's notes of chocolate, caramel, coffee, roast and spicy rye and if not, it's perfectly acceptable to keep it all for yourself!
Irish Style Stout
Green beer is for people who don't understand that beer is fun already, so this St. Patrick's day we are keeping ours dark! Affectionately named "Irwish I Weren't So Stout", this rich, full bodied dry Irish stout has notes of coffee and a creamy mouthfeel with the roasted flavors shining through. Wherever you go and whatever you do, may the luck of the Irish be there with you!
A classic brown ale featuring a medium roasted malt taste with caramel and chocolate-like characteristics. The addition of maple cinnamon cold-brewed coffee from the Morning Grind gives it a slight coffee bitterness and added flavor.
During the early part of spring, one of our neighboring towns hosts a celebration ringing in the maple syrup season with the Maple Festival. This cloudy wheat ale has us joining in on the festivities. It is flavored with a dark grade of maple syrup to make sure its presence is known. Lightly hopped and drinkable.
Olde Bakery Ale is an Amber to Dark Amber Ale with a sturdy malt backbone and a clash of American nugget hops and English fuggle hops. We give this a local flair by making our own burnt sugar and adding it to the finished beer to sweeten the deal. Berlin has a cake specific to the area; we pay our respects to that delicious treat with this beer.
This classic IPA features malts that give it a toasted, malty flavor with a golden color and touch of sweetness. The Amarillo, Chinook and Centennial hops shine through providing a heavy citrus flavor and aroma with tropical fruit, floral and piney notes.
The War Horse Coffee Porter is a collaboration beer between Whitehorse Brewing and Crazy Horse Coffee. Using our base porter recipe featuring dark malt to give the porter a slight bite, we then added Jazzy Java, Crazy Horse's best seller. Porter's and coffee blend well together leaving a very smooth and clean aftertaste. This collaboration is a Washington, PA small business initiative at its finest!
"Helles" meaning pale in color, this lager features a rounder, fuller body than traditional light lagers. It has a light sweetness to balance out the spiciness of the German hops and the slight bitterness giving it a more malty, crisp finish.
